At Lice Cleanse, we are committed to finding a solution to the persistent issue of head lice infestations. Our mission also includes educating the public about safe and effective treatments that can be used to combat this problem.
As a mother of five children aged between 7 and 14, I understand the panic that comes with receiving a notification from school that your child has head lice. Like many other parents, I initially resorted to over-the-counter treatments to address the issue. However, I soon discovered that these treatments were no longer effective as lice have become resistant to them. Additionally, these treatments often contain harmful pesticides and can be toxic to children.
Despite repeated treatments, the lice persisted and I found myself consumed by my search for a solution. I spent countless hours researching and nitpicking, sacrificing sleep in the process. Through my experience, I understand the importance of finding a safe and effective solution to the head lice problem.

What is the Shepherd Method?
The Shepherd Method involves a meticulous strand-by-strand technique for manually removing lice eggs (nits). This comprehensive process comprises several steps, beginning with the application of a safe and non-toxic product to loosen the eggs. Subsequently, a thorough comb-out is performed using a specialized lice and nit removing comb to eliminate most of the bugs and eggs. Finally, each strand of hair is scrutinized for any remaining nits, and a final round of combing with oil is done to ensure complete removal.

I don’t know how but Rose and her daughter managed to be both professional and full of information but at the same time chatting with me like an old friend and never making me feel stupid or embarrassed. If you have kiddos, this will come up eventually. Their services were not cheap, but they were incredibly thorough, diligent and patient. They have a TV and Netflix to keep the kids occupied. The space was so clean. Hopefully I won’t need to use their services again, but if it comes up, I will definitely call them. Highly recommend.
